Why ceramic interior? What's the difference?

Most insulated cups use a stainless steel interior. Stainless steel can affect the taste of your drink over time, particularly with coffee or tea.

The ceramic interior in KALU doesn't interact with your drink, no metallic taste, no absorbed odours, easier to keep clean. It's a small detail that makes a noticeable difference.

Are the materials safe?

Your cup is used every day. Heat. Coffee. Acidity. Repeated use. That's why materials matter.

KALU: no BPA, no lead, no heavy metals. 18/8 grade 304 stainless steel, copper-lined walls, ceramic interior.

Tested to LFGB, the EU food-contact standard, designed for products used daily, stricter than the NZ minimum.

How does it stay hot (or cold) for so long?

KALU uses double-wall insulation with a copper lining between the walls. Copper reflects heat back into the drink, which is why it holds temperature longer than standard double-wall cups.
